A few miscellaneous files that don't exactly fit in anywhere else on the site: old Amiga text adventures, computer game solutions, and even an entire Neverwinter Nights module based on a gamebook.

As threatened--erm, promised over on my About Me page, here are the links to my ancient computer games. Bear in mind that they are not guaranteed to work on the latest computers. neither The Elven Crystals nor the Amiga Aarbron Chronicles will work in WinUAE if reading the files from a PC hard drive because they all require a file called "B*I COORD", and the PC filesystem does not allow an asterisk as a valid character for a filename. Running from an Amiga, or via an Amiga formatted partition in WinUAE, should work, in theory.

Eye of the Beholder Maps

As you may (or, indeed, may not) have read over on my About Me page, I am a fan of the old Eye of the Beholder games. A few years ago, I managed to get the two games working on my PC thanks to a brilliant util called DosBox. After searching online, I decided that many of the solution maps left much to be desired, so I went ahead and made my own. They're available here in PDF format.

If there are any Neverwinter Nights fans out there, I have co-written a module for it! Keeping my gamebook-fan motif, it is an adaptation of Fighting Fantasy Book 3: The Forest of Doom. We've also drawn in an awful lot of material from the other fighting fantasy books, including adding new sub-quests such as Xortan Throg's Tower. We really liked it; however, most adrenaline-junkie NWN players seem to find the game too "empty". While we did consider placing an Ancient Red Dragon every 20 metres, subsequent reviews have been unfailingly positive, though we still don't appear to have had many downloads. If you're interested in playing an FF adaptation for NWN and you don't think combat is the only part of an RPG, the module can be downloaded here. In order to play it, you will need Neverwinter Nights and both expansions installed: Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. You will also need the magnificent (and completely free!) Community Expansion Pack. (This mod has recently been updated to use CEP v2.0, and any subsequent CEP updates should also work without breaking the module.)

This link leads to the module's page on the NWVault server. The file on there is out of date--use the above link!--but if you fancy leaving a comment I infrequently check it. Some nice screenshots from the module can be found below:
